I'm kinda impressed. It's quite sunshiney, though her voice is too breathy (I find).

It's nice hearing reggaepop again, besides the stuff coming 'round as raggaton. It's weird though, that it's gonna be getting attention because of Paris.

It starts off great but she of course finds a way to turn it trashy.

The song is so poppy and sunshiney though. If Paris brings this type of pop back to North America I will blow a gasket. I'd be happy though!

KUDOS to her management and PR people. The song is an excellent summer mid-tempo sing-a-long. It's different than EVERYTHING else on the radio.

I thought that too about the video. The beginning is cute but when she starts rubbing the coconut tree it gets trashy. This type of video has been done before anyway.

But I love the song, it's something fresh (at least for the US). All my friends will hit me when they find out, LOL!

LOL! I can relate. It's really hard for me to reconcile Paris Hilton. Like, the whole deal. It's hard for me to understand, but with this song I really tried to take a step back.

Here's how I broke it down (firstly, forgetting that it is Paris who is singing it):

Something nice to say:

- From start to finish, it's a pop tune. Something we don't hear often on this side of the blue pond very often.

- It's reggae-pop. Sunshiney, and almost melancholic (musically).

- It's a sing-a-long, really!

- The timing of its release is perfect, almost genius: it's the real start of summer for young people now, and it sounds COMPLETELY different from anything on the radio.

Not so great:

- Paris' voice is too breathy, and the lyrics aren't exactly staggering.

- The video quickly turns trashy, but I have a feeling most people will look past it.

That's my breakdown. I've had to really think about it because I couldn't understand why I was so intringued by it and in some ways repulsed. In the end...

Yeah you're right Najs! The only thing they have in common is the raggasol element (although AOB is distinctly European when they do it).

I wonder what her album will be like??

i can't believe anybody actually likes this song! i mean, i don't think she's a waste of space, i just think she should stick where she belongs. and music ain't it! and i have to say, if computers gave us the result we're hearing now, then i don't think we have a sophisticated enough program to make Paris sound good.

Heard the song, and it is quite catchy, and so I force myself not to listen to it. I'm not a big Hilton fan, and I don't want to be. It's like that L-O-V-E song by Ashley Simpson in that I hate it, but I end up singing along to it whenever I hear it. But that's the thing about pop is that it is very catchy. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's not so good.
