I haven't heard anything except the two singles... I like La Tortura but Don't Bother was a bit disappointing... I expected something more uplifting. How's the album in general?

Volume one is in Spanish and a good album. I always skip 'La Tortura' though. It's not a very good representation of the record as a whole.

Volume two is one of the few albums I ever have loved on first listen. Extremely well produced, the lyrics are typical Shakira but more convincing than before. Brilliant. I had to get it shipped from US though. for some reason it's not released here in the UK yet.

I wonder why they picked those 2 songs as singles though. It seems very strange considering they had about 3 years to deliberate!

I love La Tortura!! It's true that it doesn't represent the album, it's different, but im a little bored about the typical shakira songs.
I like "No". :-D

I like the song "Tortura". Well, I don't speak Spanish and I like Shakira's lyrics...so I was happy that Oral Fixation 2 is English....At the moment I like "Hey you" and "Illegal"...Don't bother is a nice song, too.

I LOVE IT! A fantastic album where Shakira doesn't just sing the words, she sings every single word with a shape and every song takes a lot of emotion and power. I can't make up my mind whether I prefer it when she's emotional or angry. Love it!

i think that part of the reason i love shakira is that she is able to convey so much emotion no matter what language shes singing in. im getting oral 2 for x-mas but ive downloaded a bunch of songs... loving it so far.

It is playing in the US on radio now. Although Shakira seems to have a different schedule in each country.

Latin America's next single will be 'Dia de Enero' from Fijacion Oral Vol. 1 (you can see the video at the above site), UK's current single is 'Don't Bother' from Vol. 2 as we are way behind in promotion.

'Hips Don't Lie' will appear on new editions of the English album in the near future. It's all a bit complicated!

Yes, in Germany the single will be out in May...

But I wonder if it will be earlier out in other countries...I want it as mp3 :-)

in france we have "don't bother", though we still can hear "la tortura" released near a year ago ! but no news about "hips don't lie" as a single here ...

Just heard on a German radio station (jump - here's a link to an article in German: MUSIK NEWS (http://www.jumpradio.de/build_index.html?/scripts/hitdb/musik_news_detail.cfm?news_id=994) that "Hips Don't Lie" won't be released as a single.
They said that this song is under exclusive licence of an American phone company. This company will only provide this song as download for mobile phones.
I can't believe this and hope it's not true! Amazon.de still has May 6th as releasedate for a 2-track-single (HDL + "Dreams For Plans (Album Version)"

Wow great pictures... they take me back to last Saturday. I loved the show - loved the atmosphere... everything!!! You were very close to the stage... here in Holland the stage was quite high, which was a shame :(

Here is the concert from Istanbul.

The first picture is when Shakira jumped off the stage and sang at me. It was so funny! I think it was because Shakira recognises the fans from 1995 and she could see from the first song 'Estoy Aqui' that I was a true old fan and she sang with las colombianas as well.

I will never forget it! A Turkish girl said to me "You are so lucky - she came up to you THREE TIMES!"

I was in Istanbul for a friends' wedding and it was the most amazing wedding that you can ever imagine. I extended my stay so I could go to the concert. I'm such a stalker!!

This was the last show of the tour. Shakira had a special guest and I think I have the only recording of 'Dia Especial' there. I hope you like it :)
