I'm a new fan of Sugababes (their songs are fabulous!), but everywhere I look for lyrics give me different words to the same song. Can someone please post the REAL lyrics to Round Round and Red Dress? Thanks!

Round Round

All:
Round round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free
We'll ride still fired
On the beat down low
I don't need nobody
But my honeys when I go
Round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free

Mutya:
When you stare at my face
You're messing with my brain
If you try to convince me
Then you better think again
If you move to the music
The music's got to give
If it's too complicated
That's the way I wanna live

Mutya + Keisha:
If you hate me
I will show you
How to break me
Into something new
If you want me
Run away now
If you stop me
Then I'll hit the ground

Keisha:
And we go, and we go

All:
Round round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free
We'll ride still fired
On the beat down low
I don't need nobody
But my honeys when I go

Keisha:
Explanations no you don't need one
Having a good time
Getting down to fun

All:
And it's your time
Just tonight he'll be mine
Then it's gone
People moving,
Bodies grooving
Never ending,
Players are changing,

Mutya + Heidi:
Don't you worry 'bout a thing
All you need is a fierce sting
All my girls are here with me
Whiling out they've got their needs

All:
Do you feel me, do you feel me,
Do you feel me, do you feel me,

Heidi:
Woo!

All:
Round round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free
We'll ride still fired
On the beat down low
I don't need nobody
But my honeys when I go

Round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free
We'll ride still fired
On the beat down low
I don't need nobody
But my honeys when I go

Heidi:
Does it hurt when you see how I've done
Without you, you thought that I couldn't belong
Never thought that you could be so cruel
All you need is some friends

Mutya + Keisha:
Won't be by yourself

Heidi:
Let's go round and round
and round and round

All:
and rouuuuuuund

Round round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free
We'll ride still fired
On the beat down low
I don't need nobody
But my honeys when I go

Round baby, round round
Spinning out on me
I don't need no man
Got my kicks for free
We'll ride still fired
On the beat down low
I don't need nobody
But my honeys when I go

Red Dress

Mutya/Amelle:
Cause I'm cooler
Cause I'm cooler

Keisha:
A girl's invited to flaunt
To get what she wants
Can't say that it's wrong
Oh baby
A man's world but boy can't you see
We're pulling the strings
We're taking the lead

Keisha:
And when you're sure
You'll never let her play you again
She'll put on your favourite smile
Unplug the phone to get you alone
Dirty dance
Her hips will send you into a trance

Mutya/Amelle leading (Heidi):
Cause I'm cooler than the red dress
I'd rather catch a guy on my own
(Can we make it)
Cause what you see the man gets
(Don't forget it)
And if you don't I'm better off here alone

Keisha:
Ohohohoh ohohohoh ohohohoh ohoh

Mutya/Amelle:
Done the candlelight to make you stay over
i'm giving it up now,
Baby,
If that's what I've got to do to just own ya,
I'm giving it up now,
Maybe

Heidi:
To You...
I've played the desperate lady
And jumped through all of the hoops boy
Instead of constant craving
I'll leave the chasing to you
And if you don't respect it
I'll kick with my Jimmy Choos
Cause boy if you don't love me
Then I've got nothing to lose

Keisha:
Cause I've been done this road before
I should have known that I was to blame
Won't put on your favourite smile
Unplug the phone to get you alone
Dirty dance,
That's not the way I get my romance

Mutya/Amelle leading (Heidi):
Cause I'm cooler than the red dress
I'd rather catch a guy on my own
Cause what you see the man gets
And if you don't I'm better off here alone

(Save your kisses)
Cause I'm cooler than the red dress
(Do you get it)
I'd rather catch a guy on my own
(Can we make it)
Cause what you see the man gets
(Don't for get it)
And if you don't I'm better off here alone

Keisha:
Ohohohoh ohohohoh ohohohoh ohoh

Mutya/Amelle (Keisha):
Done the candlelight to make you stay over
I'm giving it up now,
Baby,
If that's what I've got to do to just own ya,
I'm giving it up now,
Maybe (Maybe)

Done the candlelight to make you stay over
I'm giving it up now (I'm now),
Baby (baby),
If that's what I've got to do to just own ya (own ya),
I'm giving it up now (I'm giving, I'm giving it up),
Maybe (Mayyyybe)

Heidi:
So don't call me baby

Mutya/Amelle:
Cooler than the red dress

Keisha:
I'm giving it up

Heidi:
So don't call me baby

Mutya/Amelle:
Cooler than the red dress

Keisha:
I'm giving it up...

Okay, I have another question...

What does Amelle sing instead of "Mutya" in the second verse of Gotta Be You?

I've listened to that part 20 times and she's definitely not saying "Mutya". It sounds like "missla".

She sings "Look at this slut"

Ahh, thank you. That makes sense. I wonder why they didn't change the lyrics in the booklet.

I'm very new to all of this Sugababes stuff. I just ordered Angels With Dirty Faces and I can't wait for it to come. I still have to get Three and One Touch.

Which version of Taller In More Ways do you own?

I have the new version. I've downloaded the Mutya version of Gotta Be You and I've heard her version of Red Dress. Personally, I don't hear that huge of a difference. Being new to them, I'm rather unaffected by the change in line-up, so I don't much care. In any case, I don't think we've heard enough of Amelle to make a good judgement. It'll be interesting to hear the new material they released on their Greatest Hits album.

As for Siobhan, I do like the songs I've heard with her and I love her solo song Overrated.

I finally got the Taller In More Ways reissue the other day, and it was a bit weird listening to it with Amelle rather than Mutya. It'd be like getting a reissue AOB album of Da Capo with just Linn. I like the powerful quality in Amelle's voice, but there are certain accents and inflections that Mutya brings to Gotta Be You that I miss. The big difference for me is at the end there's no add-libbing at all... why didn't they get Amelle to do exactly what Mutya did? I feel like I have to fill the void and sing it myself now, and I aint no Sugababe.

Oh and thanks for posting the lyrics to Red Dress. It's still my favourite song, but I am so lazy I just make up the words I don't remember. They're sprinkled so well through the melody, I couldn't tell what some parts were... I just make it up as I go along I think...

I sing the missing Keisha add-libbing at the end of GBY too! poor neighbours... :red:
